Our Evangelism
We believe that evangelism in not an optional extra for the Christian, nor is it to be left to the ’super-spiritual’ or to the ‘professionals’. Rather, it is through the faithful witness of God’s people that those who as yet do not know Christ, come to bow the knee before Him.
We believe that the Great Commission still applies to us today. Therefore, in a manner sensitive to the needs of the City of Glasgow and with a burning desire to see God’s glory lifted high over Scotland, we spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
We will encourage every-member-evangelism, where we will train and resource individual Christians to share their faith with their families, friends, neighbours and workmates. This is the Biblical ideal.
We will proactively evangelise people groups within our sphere of influence:
- Those with whom we have family / cultural / historical connections.
- Those who live in the locality of the Church.
- Those who work in the locality of the Church.
- Through the development of care groups and district Bible studies, those who live in Greater Glasgow.
Our targets are ambitious, but we believe that ‘all authority in heaven and on earth’ belongs to Christ, and as we go, He is present with us. Teams have been set up within the congregation to target each of these areas of evangelism. Please pray for us, that God would use us to bring many Glasgwegians to the Lord Jesus Christ.
